Yellow

"Yellow" is the story of a Amaryllis Campos - played by Roselyn Sanchez, a young dancer whose close relationship with her father Franco, himself once a great ballet star in New York City, drives her from her native Puerto Rico to Manhattan in order to fulfill herself as a woman. Following a career-ending injury, the wheelchair-bound Franco had retreated with his family to San Juan. Cuckolded by an alcoholic wife, Carmen, and despairing of ever achieving greatness again, Franco takes his life. Amaryllis has turned away from her dad's desire for her to dance. In order to honor his memory, she decides to pursue fame and success as a dancer.
